St. Mary's Hospital

Not Just Healthcare.  Human Care.

Welcome and thank you for your interest in St. Mary’s Hospital of Passaic, NJ.

St. Mary's Hospital has been dedicated to providing medical care to generations of local families since 1895. Our tradition of compassionate, quality care is based on six core values: dignity, charity, justice, service, excellence and care for the poor.

As the primary hospital for Passaic, and the closest emergency room for many of our neighbors in Bergen, Essex and Hudson counties, St. Mary's is a vital safety-net hospital.

It is a non-profit acute care hospital offering a broad range of health care services and community outreach programs.  St. Mary's Hospital is a Center of Excellence for Cardiology, Oncology, Behavioral Health, and Maternal-Child Health Services.  The Hospital has 307 beds, over 550 physicians and is one of the largest employers in Passaic.  St. Mary’s Hospital is sponsored by the Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth, Convent Station, NJ.

At St. Mary's we know that cutting-edge technology and medical expertise are crucial to a patient's well-being. But, so is a hand for them to hold. Someone to listen, understand and care. That's why we not only treat our patients with the latest medical advancements, but also with a sense of dignity, true compassion and respect.
