St. Mary’s Unveils Remodeled Patient Unit

In late September 2011, St. Mary's Hospital celebrated the unveiling and reopening of patient unit 5 East. The patient wing was temporarily closed to permit remodeling of the unit which, among other updates, features a new layout, patient monitors, patient restrooms, as well as a fresher color scheme. The opening featured remarks by CEO Michael J. Sniffen, who recognized the diligence of Maintenance & Engineering, Environmental Services, M.I.S. and Nurse Manager Andrea Wikander. The unit began receiving patients the following morning.
