Our Services
SMH is a 264-bed regional medical center located in the City of Passaic, New Jersey.
There are 212 medical/surgical beds, 16 ob/gyn beds, 10 pediatric beds, 5
intermediate bassinets, and 25 adult ICU/CCU beds. In addition to a
complete inpatient service program, the Medical Center provides numerous
outpatient services.
The Center’s
primary service area encompasses Passaic County, especially Clifton and the City
of Passaic, but also serves communities in southern Bergen County, parts of Essex, Morris, and Hudson Counties. Many of its specialty services, such as The
Cardiac Program, serve patients from all parts of New Jersey and New York.

This department
provides free, bilingual outreach services to benefit community residents:

Pre-Natal
Classes for
expectant women.

Health and Wellness
Presentations on a wide variety of topics
available to churches, schools, P.T.A.’s, clubs and organizations.

Health
Information Tables
at health fairs, church festivals and civic events.

Blood
Pressure Screenings and Stroke Assessments
for church, P.T.A and other groups.

Blood
Pressure and Weight Clinics
at a variety of different sites.

here in the local area.
Simply call

our physician referral specialist will help you choose from an expanded
network of Board Certified primary care physicians, cardiologists,
oncologists, OB/GYNs and many other medical specialists.
These physicians are all affiliated with St. Mary’s Hospital and work
closely with our healthcare team to coordinate your care and ensure that you
get the excellent service that you deserve.
St. Mary’s doctors are among the
best in the tri-state area and many have been recognized as “Top Doctors” by
New Jersey Monthly
magazine in its prestigious annual listing year after year.
All patients
receive the Center’s survey tool to mail to the Hospital. In addition, a
Patient Resource staff member visits inpatients and individually surveys them as
requested.
This Department
is devoted to providing education, screening, lecture, seminars, and fairs designed
to meet the health needs of the communities served by
the Medical Center. Programs are conducted at the Center as well as at popular
and accessible community locations.
The Center has
a strong active program with over 200 volunteers and the equivalent of 24 full
time employees. Volunteers provide diverse functions and services throughout
the Center from clerical services, gift shop sales, to patient transport, and more.
SENIOR LINK
A membership
program for individuals 60 years and over, Senior Link offers free education,
screening, health, and recreation programs. With close to 1000 enrollees, members
also enjoy programs and trips.
